2018 Charter Season in May

Denham Bay

We are now taking bookings for the 2018 season. This year we will be spending most of May cruising around the Discovery Islands.  We need a couple days in the Campbell River ship yard to do the annual hull maintenance, then we will head north for two or three weeks.  We plan on some stops at Stuart Island area, where we usually hang out at Denham Bay.  We can pick up groups at Browns Bay or Rock Bay and transport them in comfort to one of the many lodges around Stuart Island.

We will also do some trips out of Kelsey Bay.  Yorke Island is an old military base built in the late 30’s as a defence against a feared attack by the Japanese.  It is only an hour from Kelsey Bay and we have one group booked to visit this interesting piece of history.  We are also planning trips to Port Neville and Port Harvey out of Kelsey Bay.  Port Neville has a network of logging roads that link up to Loughborough and Knight Inlets.  The plan is to take in some dirt bikes and explore this maze of roads and lakes.  Send us an e-mail if you think you might want to take in one of these adventures.

The boat will be back in Comox late May and we will be getting ready for the Seafood Festival in June.  Two Oyster Farm tours are scheduled, June 8th & 14th.  Tickets are now for sale.

My next blog will outline our plans for this summer.  The boat and company were for sale throughout the winter, but it did not sell and we are now committed to doing another summer season.  Stay tuned for some exciting news about our new loading area at the Comox Harbour Authority.
