UPDATE – Monday, February 13, 9 AM: Thank you for all your support and enquiries, everything went very well for the Valentines Day Sunset Cruise! The weather was perfect, and our guests made this special video to share the experience
A customer suggested this Valentine’s Day Cruise as a surprise for her husband.
We said we’d be delighted to do it, and “How about we do it at sunset?”
So, she’d like to share the opportunity (and the cost, $75/person) with other singles, couples and families. Kids are welcome, we have lots of life jackets for them, and there may be several families with children.
The Cruise:
If the weather cooperates (the long range forecast looks pretty good), we will be leaving Fisherman’s Wharf at 4 PM, next Tuesday, February 14, returning at 6 PM.
We’ll visit Goose Spit and the Royston Wrecks, and check out the big tidal flats around Comox Bay.
Sunset over the Beaufort Range mountains starts early, around 5 pm, and we’ll watch the sun go down over the Comox Glacier. Then we’ll ease back home in twilight, and see the lights come on around the Bay as we return.
Comfort and Champagne
It will be cooler out on the water, so please dress warmly. The Panorama Lounge is heated, as well, and there will be an outdoor heater on the stern deck. Twee Schoenen has a private full size washroom, and a small galley kitchen.
If you’re bringing your favourite beverage, we’ll have ice in the cooler and some plastic glasses for you. The same goes for snacks, please feel free to bring your favourite, and we have disposable dishes, etc, in the galley.
(Your safety is our number one priority, though, so we insist on one social drink only, please).
