Fishing Season is Here
We have been very successful in the Crab fishing this year, but it is starting to slow down. Time to re-rig the boat for fishing. We spotted Pink Salmon in the river and are getting reports of good catches of Coho. Our boat is big enough to fish 4 or 5 rods and accommodate 12 passengers. $210 per hour. We supply the fishing gear.
The only disadvantage to fishing with us is our boat is not a fast boat and it takes longer to get to the fishing grounds. The advantages are many, especially if you are a bigger group. The boat has a large washroom and galley. The boat is big enough that all the passengers can find sun or shade, whether fishing or enjoying the scenery. It is counter effective to troll with more than 4 or 5 rods, but if we stop and jig or cast for fish, all the passengers can fish at the same time. Our boat is safe for passengers of all ages, so it is the perfect boat for the whole family or families.
If your goal is to catch the trophy salmon, you might want to consider one of the local guide boats that only do fishing trips. If you are a bigger group that just wants to get on the water and catch a fish, we are the boat for you. I have lived in the Comox Valley all my life and use the same gear as the smaller boats, but I also have commercially fished for bottom fish and have much local knowledge. Salmon is what most people want to fish for, but they are not always easy to find. Other fish in our waters include Rock & Ling Cod, Red Snapper, Flounder, & Halibut. We always have a couple crab traps soaking, & can check them at the end of the trip. Give us a call or e-mail and let us put together a fishing adventure for your group.
