Introducing the MV Twee Schoenen
She is so named because of her tunnel hull, which effectively gives her two shoes, making her very stable. (She also looks a bit like a shoe from the side) Twin diesels and a shallow draft make her maneuverable and versatile. The MV Twee Schoenen was built in Port Townsend, Washington for a gentleman from Hawaii for inter-Hawaiian Island travel. Halfway through construction the plan was changed to build the boat for whale watching out of Campbell River. The boat was launched in 2006 and delivered to Campbell River but never went into service. We bought the boat in 2011 and started Comox Harbour Charters. (Originally named DC Ferries)
